Last updated :2018-03-01

Time: at 14:30-16:30, March 6st, 2018
Venue: Boai Meeting Room, 15th Floor, Science Building, Zhongshan School of Medicine, SYSU, North Campus
Topic: Regulatory programs controlling HSC functions
Speaker: Linheng Li, Investigator, Stowers Institute for Medical Research
Host: Meng Zhao, Professor, Zhongshan School of Medicine, SYSU

About the speaker:
Professor Li, after completing a Ph. D. program at the University of New York Medical Center, is a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Washington Medical Center and is currently working as a Investigator at Stowers Institute for Medical Research in the United States. His laboratory uses mouse models of the hematopoietic and intestinal systems to focus on fundamentalquestions in adult stem cell biology. For decades, studies of HSC behavior focused mainlyon defining intrinsic regulatory programs controlling HSC functions, leading to deterministic or stochasticmodels of cell renewal and differentiation.
